After 2 long days with a lot of hours spend at the Irani embassy our patience was gone! The nice gentleman behind the glass kept on telling us that we should wait! They needed the embassy in Denmark to cancel the application. After that we could start the application process all over again.
Yesterday we were send back to the hotel to wait for a call. But as the time went and we were not being contacted, we decided to return to the Embassy.
And then suddenly 30 min before closing we were called to the window! “Please run to the bank and pay 100 Euro” then everything should be fine. We ran to the bank and paid – and returned back 2 min after they had closed the door. We rang the bell and waited and suddenly we were let in 😉
The gentleman behind the glass accepted our receipt from the bank and started filling out a small pierce og green paper! At the same time he was telling us that “next time we should get things done in Copenhagen” and by the way he had a friend who had a”hot yoga” studio in Copenhagen!
For us “just waiting” and not being in control is really a challenge. Not being able to take action and impact the situation. But it is probably healthy!
Tuesday we hope to pick up our passports at the Iranian Embassy and the work across the street to the Turkmenistan embassy where we have to apply for a transit visa. Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan are the 3 countries which we will drive through on our way from Iran to China.
