Border to Tabriz
In Tabriz we visited the University of Architecture and Art where we had a wonderfull professor emeritus as a guide. He learned French thirty years ago and entertained in a combination of French and Farsi. Especially the beautifull and newly renovated courtyards where impressing.
Kandovan
Exciting Home Stay in caves wich have been carved into eroded vulcanic rock. Below a new village has been build. People are still living in the caves. Take a close look at the picture of the village, where you can see the caves as holes in the rock.

In the morning hiking 1.000 steps to Qal’eh Rudkhan to visit a 12th century mountain castle. The evening with more steps in to visit Masuleh village with its unique architecture. If you look closely you can see the earth colored houses stacked on top of one another like giant LEGO blocks.
